How to get Started with Voicee

Getting started with Voicee is super easy - you can register your Voicee account, generate a local phone number and setup a device on your iPad within a few minutes and with a few elements you likely already have.

Things you'll need

  1. A stable internet connection with minimum speeds of 5 Mbps Download and 5Mbps Upload
  2. Either an iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch running iOS 14 (Android support Coming Soon)
  3. OR  A Compatible SIP Phone like a Yealink, Grandstream etc

Step by Step Guide

  1. Register your Voicee Account
  2. Create a Company if you don't already have a company on your Voicee Account 
  3. Create a Site if you don't already have at least 1 Site on your Company:
     
    1. Set your business Address (which is validated)
    2. Set your Timezone and Email address. Note: The timezone is used for your Voicemail and Reporting and your site email is used for Voicemail notifications
  4. Subscribe to the Starter plan (or higher) 

  5. Go to integrations and Click Connect
  6.  
  7. Click on Sites > Select the Site you have create - Click on the "+" button next to the phone number and register a local phone number.

  8. Once you've registered a phone number, create your first device
  9. Once you've created your device, link your phone number to ring your device

Setting up on iOS

  1. On your iOS device, install the Voicee Softphone. It will ask you for your device credentials which are found under the Site Devices heading. You can read more about setting up the Voicee Softphone on your iOS here.
  2. Test your Voicee phone number by calling it from your mobile or another phone.

Setting up on Physical Phone

Any SIP/VoIP Compatible phone will work with Voicee, including Cisco, Grandstream, Yealink and more. Read our articles below to help you get started on your device of choice:

Keeping your existing number

The easiest and fastest way to keep your existing number is to simply set up call forwarding. You can read about how to setup call forwarding here
