Send SMS from a Call Flow
What does the SMS Node Do?
The SMS node allows you to send an Branded SMS to the inbound caller.
All SMS's are related to a "Template", a reusable SMS that allows you to track its click through rate.
Setting up
To setup an SMS, simply select:
The SMS Template you'd like to send (or create one)
Resend Prevention timeout
The Resend Prevention ensures that if a caller rings your inbound number multiple times; they aren't sent the same SMS multiple times.
You can choose between preselected values, 1 hour, 1 day or 1 week. For example: If John calls you at 12pm and triggers an SMS, and calls you again at 3pm, if you have "1 day" triggered as the resend prevention, it will not send another SMS.
Delay sending the SMS
By default, this is Instant - we'll do our best to send the SMS to the caller as soon as possible. Which is generally about 5 seconds, depending on network conditions.
Or if you set a custom delay, you can define how long you want to wait to queue the message in the future. For example, 60 minutes will send the SMS Template 1 hour after the call was made.
What is Sent and Failed outcomes?
Sent means that the SMS was successfully queued, so the customer should receive the message depending on your settings.
Note: Your message will still be marked as "Sent" even if the Resend Prevention is triggered.
Failed means one of two things:
- The person calling is calling from an anonymous or landline phone that doesn't support SMS
- There was a server error or an error with Voicee's SMS network
How does billing work?
SMS on the Voicee platform requires credits, go to the SMS Studio Dashboard and click "Add Credits" to load up additional credits for your Company.
You will need a valid credit card to complete the purchase, and can make a selection of various pre-paid packages.
Credits never expire.
Requirements before sending
