Registering your SMS Name on ACMA / Australian Branded SMS

From the 1st of July 2026, you need to register your Sender ID with ACMA so your branded SMS messages coming from Voicee displays your business name; otherwise, they will be labelled “Unverified.” Registration confirms your legitimate right to use the name and helps prevent scammers from impersonating your business.

Step 1: Validate your Email is linked in the ABR

Alert
Importantly, your MyGov email must be used. You must have a valid MyGov account to continue
  1. First, let's validate which Businesses are registered under your MyGov Account.
    1. Go to: https://www.abr.gov.au/business-super-funds-charities/updating-or-cancelling-your-abn/update-your-abn-details
    2. Scroll Down and Click "Continue with Digital ID"

    3. Once you've logged in, Select your ABN and business name
    4. NotesIf it appears with "You are not currently linked to a business that allows access to this service" then this email will not work. You must find the email which is registered for the business you want to register.
    5. You will be presented with "Update ABN Record". Use Chrome as this Website does not seem to render correctly on Safari.
    6. Click on the Contacts

      1. Ensure your Digital ID email address and full name is Listed as a Contact
      2. If you need to add your Email, ensure you add your Full Name and the email that you use for your MyGov Digital ID.
      3. Then Go to the Declaration Tab and click Submit
Notes
It's important that you click the Declaration Tab and clicking submit after you've added yourself as a contact, failure to do so will fail in the next step
