Registering Voicee on Android Device

Registering Voicee on Android Device

Any iOS device running iOS 13 or later can run a SIP software phone that is compatible with Voicee's infrastructure.

There is no specific brand or software developer requirement for Voicee to work, however we do regularly do testing on the popular SIP phone applications to see which one has the best user experience.

Currently the most stable and user friendly experience is
Softphone by SessionTalk (Via the Apple AppStore)

Please note that Voicee is not associated with SessionTalk.

Setting up Voicee on Android

  1. Download Softphone by SessionTalk and install it on your iOS device
  2. Open Softphone from your Homepage
  3. When prompted, select Generic Provider

  4. Go into the Site on your Voicee Dashboard, find the Device Name you'd like to connect to.
  5. Under Devices find the device name, domain name and password. If you do not have a Device yet, please create on first.

  6. Enter the details found under Devices into the corresponding fields within SoftPhone

  7. Click Save (top right corner), then scroll all the way up and hit Register
  8. You will see a green "Register" which means you've successfully linked your VoIP phone.

You can now make an incoming call to test that you're service is running.

Important notice

VoIP services consume battery life as it will constantly register with the service to ensure it has connectivity. It is super important that you do not use VoIP on devices that are use for mobile (non charged) usage. The device should be always plugged in; use a compatible iOS Bluetooth headset if you require portability.

You must keep the App running in the background in order to receive calls with Softphone.
