Give callers a consistent experience while they wait. Voicee lets you choose a company-wide hold sound for AutoQ queues and for mid-call hold on supported Yealink phones.
This guide explains how to change your hold music, which AutoQ nodes update automatically, and how to set up Yealink phones.
Calling Settings — use Update Settings in the Hold Music panel.
To return to Voicee’s standard sound, choose Use default hold music and save.
Hold Music settings — select your sound, preview it, then save your changes.
When you save a new company hold sound, Voicee automatically updates every AutoQ node that is set to use the default music.
| AutoQ music setting | Result after changing company hold music |
|---|---|
| Default music | Automatically uses the updated company hold sound. |
| Custom sound selected on the node | Keeps its existing custom sound; nothing changes. |
Important: custom AutoQ sounds are preserved
If you want an AutoQ node with a custom sound to follow future company-wide changes, change that node to use the default music.
When you place a caller on hold during a call, the configured hold sound plays on repeat until you resume the call.
Supported phones
Voicee’s music-on-hold server is currently supported on Yealink phones only. This device requirement applies to mid-call hold; AutoQ queue music is configured in Voicee as described above.
If your Yealink phone is configured through Voicee AutoProvision, no manual music-server setup is needed. Restart the phone so it downloads the latest configuration.
After the phone reconnects, make a test call and place the caller on hold to confirm the sound plays correctly.
If your phone does not use Voicee AutoProvision, configure the music server manually:

Contact Voicee Support for your music-server SIP URI or help accessing your Yealink phone. Do not enter the dashboard URL in the Music Server URI field.
