Factory Reset Yealink Phones

Factory Reset Yealink Phones

A factory reset restores your Yealink phone or DECT base station to its original default settings. This process erases all configuration data, including accounts, contacts, call history, and custom settings. Perform a factory reset only when necessary, such as troubleshooting persistent issues or preparing a device for decommissioning or reconfiguration.

When using Voicee's Auto provision feature, Factory resetting will re-request the configuration from Yealink's Auto provision server, which, if all configured correctly, should automatically configure and setup your device to work with Voicee.

Desktop Phones

This section covers standard Yealink IP desk phones.

General Method (Most T-Series Phones)

Many Yealink T-series desktop phones share common reset methods:
  1. Using the Phone Interface (Idle State):
    • Press and hold the OK button (usually the center button in the navigation keys) for approximately 5-10 seconds.
    • A confirmation message like "Reset to factory setting?" will appear on the screen.
    • Press OK again to confirm.
    • The phone will reboot and restore default settings.
  2. Using the Web User Interface (Web UI):

    • Find the phone's IP address (usually via Menu -> Status on the phone).
    • Enter the IP address into a web browser on a computer on the same network.
    • Log in using the administrator credentials (default username/password is often admin/admin).
    • Navigate to the Settings -> Upgrade section (path may vary slightly by model/firmware).
    • Locate and click the Reset to Factory or Factory Reset button.
    • Confirm the action when prompted.
    • The phone will reboot.

DECT Base Stations [W70B, W60]

The W70B base station does not have a screen or keypad. The reset is performed using a physical button on the device itself.
  1. Locate the Reset Button: Find the Paging button on the base station unit. It's often a small button, sometimes recessed, marked with an icon similar to WiFi.
  2. Press and Hold: Press and hold the Paging button, while pressing and holding, remove the power cable. Wait 5 seconds then reconnect the power cable while still pressing the button.
  3. Observe LEDs: Watch the LED indicators on the base station. The LEDs (Power, Network, Handset Registration) should all light up to indicate the reset has been triggered
  4. Release: Release the button once you observe the LED confirmation.
  5. Restart: Now remove the power cable again, wait 5 seconds and plug the power cable back in. The device will factory reset which will take 5-10 minutes.
You may need to re-pair your handset once the Base station is factory reset.
To do this, Press the Paging Button for 5 seconds until the handset LED blinks. Then click "Register" on the handset.

That's it!
